World of Warcraft Patch 8.1.0 PTR; Build 28616 Update Available

Update (3/12/2018): With World of Warcraft moving towards the official release date of its upcoming Tides of Vengeance 8.1.0 Patch, the developers are here with a brand new PTR update for the game titled Build 28616. This new update introduces some pretty interesting new changes to the game and is currently available for all players who have access to the WoW PTR servers.

The release of the upcoming World of Warcraft Patch 8.1 Tides of Vengeance is slated to land sometime around the second week of December. So till then, check out the details of the all-new PTR build 28616 down below:

Like previous PTR updates for World of Warcraft, Build 28616 is back with more Class and Spell changes which are said to make the game feel more balanced. However, this isn’t all that is being added to the game as Blizzard is here with quite a lot of changes and update.

Item Effects

  • Arcane Enchantment: Increase the Critical Strike chance of all party members within 40 yards by 2 150 for 20 sec.
  • Bolstering Bellow: Increase the Versatility of all party members within 40 yards by 2 0 for 20 sec.
  • Capturing Soul (New): Trap the target’s soul inside Narassin’s Soul Gem. Only usable on dead targets. 10 yd range. 5 sec cast (Channeled). 60 sec cooldown.
  • Coin Stamp (New)
  • Crackling Tourmaline (New): Increases your Speed by 120 for 60 min. Instant. 60 sec cooldown.
  • Crown of Opulence (New)
  • Detoxified Blight Grenade (New): Throws a Detoxified Blight Grenade at the target, covering them in Detoxified Blight. 10 yd range. Instant. 10 min cooldown.
  • Diamond of Sustenance (New): Draw sustenance from the gem, restoring 166,256 health and 83,128 mana over 20 sec. If you spend at least 10 sec focusing on the gem you will become well fed, gaining 75 in a stat for 60 min. 20 sec cast (Channeled).
  • Draught of Ten Lands: Increases all stats by 0 20 and experience gained by 10%. Instant.
  • Embiggining: Sends a bolt of mostly harmless energy at your target. Only works on dead targets. 15 yd range. 1.5 sec cast (Channeled). 1 sec global cooldown.
  • Emerald of Vigor (New): Restores 33,251 health. Instant. 60 sec cooldown.
  • Explosives Pack (New): Instant.
  • Flexibility Draught: Increases Versatility and your size for 20 min. Counts as both a Battle and Guardian elixir. Affects only targets up to level 109. Instant. Instant.
  • Flexibility Tincture: Increases Versatility and reduces your size for 20 min. Counts as both a Battle and Guardian elixir. Affects only targets up to level 109. Instant. Instant.
  • Fury of the Forest Lord: Increase your Critical Strike by 543 619 for 12 sec. Instant. 60 sec cooldown.
  • Gilded Path (New): Looting gold increases your movement speed by 30% for 6 sec.
  • High Tinker’s Expertise (New): Increases your Kul Tiran or Zandalari Engineering by 5.
  • Highborne Memento (New): Allow yourself to be possessed by a Highborne spirit. 1.5 sec cast. 60 min cooldown.
  • Hymn of Zeal: Increase the Haste of all party members within 40 yards by 2 0 for 20 sec. Rank 1. Rank 1. Instant.
  • Light of the Sea (New): Lessens the effects of Howling Winds while battling Lady Jaina Proudmoore.
  • Mech-Jockey (New): You move 20% faster while piloting a mount created by an Engineer. This does not stack with other movement speed increasing effects.
  • Mirror of Entwined Fate: Restore 348 Restore 3,620 health to the target, but inflict a curse on the caster, absorbing the next 232 healing they yourself that absorbs the next 1,207 healing you receive. 50 yd range. Instant. 2 min cooldown. 30 sec global cooldown.
  • Precision Draught: Increases Critical Strike and your size for 20 min. Counts as both a Battle and Guardian elixir. Affects only targets up to level 109. Instant. Instant.
  • Precision Tincture: Increases Critical Strike and reduces your size for 20 min. Counts as a Battle elixir. Affects only targets up to level 109. Instant. Instant.
  • Pry Gem (New): Pry a gem from the crown. 2 sec cast. 23 hrs cooldown.
  • Razorleaf Tempest: Your attacks have a chance to grant you 615 416 Critical Strike for 16 sec. Approximately 1 proc per minute. 1.5 procs per minute.
  • Sapphire of Brilliance (New): Increases all stats by 400 for 60 sec. Instant. 5 min cooldown.
  • Spinning (New): Instant. 5 min cooldown.
  • Star Topaz (New): Make a friendly player sparkle! 30 yd range. Instant. 30 sec cooldown.
  • Sul’thraze: Your melee attacks have a chance to lash the enemy with the rage of Sul’thraze, lowering the target’s damage by 2,823, dealing 9,055 Shadow damage, and another 9,030 54, dealing 175 Shadow damage, and another 175 damage over 15 sec. Approximately 1.69 procs per minute.
  • Sunset Amber (New): Reduces a party member’s size by 50% for 5 min. 30 yd range. 2 sec cast. 30 sec cooldown.
  • Supremacy Draught: Increases all stats and your size for 20 min. Counts as both a Battle and Guardian elixir. Affects only targets up to level 109. Instant. Instant.
  • Supremacy Tincture: Increases all stats and reduces your size for 20 min. Counts as both a Battle and Guardian elixir. Affects only targets up to level 109. Instant. Instant.
  • Taste of Victory (New): Experience gained in Kul Tiras and Zandalar is increased by 10%. Does not work above level 120. Instant.
  • Throw Back: Toss the fish back into the water, increasing Fishing skill by 5, up to a max of 800 100. 12-15 yd range. Instant.
  • Thunder Jolt: Your damaging spells and abilities have a chance to electrocute your opponent for 564 592 Nature damage. Approximately 1.5 procs per minute.
  • Titanic Momentum: Your attacks have a chance to increase your Haste by 36 54 for 10 sec, stacking up to 8 times. Approximately 8 procs per minute.
  • Wisdom of the Forest Lord: Increase your Intellect by 2,180 decreasing by 436 520 decreasing by 104 every 4 sec. Instant. 60 sec cooldown.

With Blizzard working extremely hard with its future updates for World of Warcraft. That being said, a new version of the Patch 8.1.0 PTR is now available. The all-new build features everything from item changes to ability modifications. So, for all those who have been waiting for the developers to introduce some changes to WoW, the time has come.

Death Knight

Blood

  • Murderous Intent: You focus the assault on this target, increasing their damage taken by 3% for 6 sec. Each unique player that attacks the target increases the damage taken by an additional 3%, stacking up to 5 times. Your melee attacks refresh the duration of Focused Assault.

Frost

  • Dead of Winter (New): After your Remorseless Winter deals damage 5 times to a target, they are Stunned for 4 sec. However, your Remorseless Winter’s cooldown is increased by 25 sec and its radius is reduced to 5 yards.
  • Lichborne: Draw upon unholy and frost energies to become Undead for 10 sec. While undead all damage is reduced by 30% and you are nearly unstoppable becoming immune to Stun, Snare, Fear and Root effects. However, during Lichborne you can only move at walking speed and you attack 30% slower.

Demon Hunter

Vengeance

  • Tormentor: You focus the assault on this target, increasing their damage taken by 3% for 6 sec. Each unique player that attacks the target increases the damage taken by an additional 3%, stacking up to 5 times. Your melee attacks refresh the duration of Focused Assault.

Druid

  • Tranquility: Heals all allies within 40 yards for [205% [185% of Spell Power] over 8 sec. Each heal heals the target for another [8% [4.8% of Spell Power] over 8 sec, stacking. Healing increased by 100% when not in a raid.

Guardian

  • Alpha Challenge: You focus the assault on this target, increasing their damage taken by 3% for 6 sec. Each unique player that attacks the target increases the damage taken by an additional 3%, stacking up to 5 times. Your melee attacks refresh the duration of Focused Assault.

Restoration

  • Tranquility: Heals all allies within 40 yards for [205% [185% of Spell Power] over 8 sec. Each heal heals the target for another [8% [4.8% of Spell Power] over 8 sec, stacking. Healing increased by 100% when not in a raid.
  • Wild Growth: Heals up to 6 injured allies within 30 yards of the target for [63% [69.3% of Spell Power] over 7 sec. Healing starts high and declines over the duration.

Monk

Brewmaster

  • Admonishment: You focus the assault on this target, increasing their damage taken by 3% for 6 sec. Each unique player that attacks the target increases the damage taken by an additional 3%, stacking up to 5 times. Your melee attacks refresh the duration of Focused Assault.

Mistweaver & Windwalker

  • Grapple Weapon: You fire off a rope spear, grappling the target’s weapons and shield, returning them to you for 6 sec.

Windwalker

  • Alpha Tiger (New): Attacking new challengers with Tiger Palm fills you with the spirit of Xuen, granting you 30% haste for 8 sec. This effect cannot occur more than once every 90 sec per target.
  • Pressure Points (New): Touch of Death also applies Fatal Wounds to the target, and if the target dies from Touch of Death’s damage or with Touch of Death active, the cooldown is reset. Fatal Wounds Healing effects received reduced by 50% for 4 sec.
  • Reverse Harm (New): Heals a friendly target for 8% of their maximum health, and causes 100% of the amount healed to instantly be dealt to the nearest enemy as Nature damage within 5 yards. Generates 1 Chi.
  • Ride the Wind: Flying Serpent Kick clears all snares from you when used and forms a path of wind in its wake, causing all allies who stand in it to have 30% increased movement speed and to be immune to movement slowing effects.
  • Turbo Fists (New): Fists of Fury now deals full damage to all targets hit, reduces all targets movement speed by 90%, and you Parry all attacks while channelling Fists of Fury.
  • Wind Waker (New): When you or allies with your Windwalking are snared, the snare is instantly removed and they become immune to snares for 4 sec. This effect cannot occur more than once every 30 sec per target.

World of Warcraft Patch 8.1.0

With Blizzard just recently releasing it’s highly anticipated Battle for Azeroth expansion for World of Warcraft, the community has something new to play and experience the game yet again. Well, if that was not enough, the developers are here with a brand new update for WoW, titled Patch 8.1.0 which introduces some pretty interesting new scenarios and other content updates.

According to the official post, World of Warcraft’s brand new Patch 8.1.0 is now available on the game’s PTR servers. This means players who have access to these servers, can test out all of the update’s brand new features and changes. Those of you who don’t will have to wait a little longer till the patch releases on the game’s active servers.

Patch Notes

  • There is a mention of “8.3 Zone – Outdoor” in the strings.
  • Highmountain Tauren now have their own Moonkin model.
  • Kul Tiran Humans now have a Moonkin Model.
  • Zandalari Trolls now have an aquatic form model.
  • The Kul Tiran Human Allied Race Mount is an armored horse similar to Anduin Wrynn’s horse.
  • Malfurion has received a bear form model.
  • The Alliance is getting a new scenario that covers Tyrande’s exploits against the Horde in Darkshore in the immediate aftermath of Teldrassil’s burning. It involves her undertaking a ritual to become the Night Warrior, giving her a new model with dark eyes. Completion of this scenario unlocks “Night Warrior” customization options for Night Elves.
  • The Horde is getting a new scenario that covers the history behind the modern Sunwell, including its defilement by Arthas and Kael’thas’ decision to leave Azeroth. This unlocks Blood Elf Heritage Armor.
  • There is another story scenario where the player must confront the Lich King with the spirit of Vol’jin.
  • The quest chain to unlock Dwarf Heritage Armor involves Ulduar.
  • The Gnomeregan Pet Battle Dungeon is in.
  • There are scenarios that involve Tol Dagor and Zandalari Armory.
  • The two new island expeditions, Havenswood and Jorundal, have been added.
  • Vicious White Warsaber and Vicious Black Bonesteed have been added.
  • The Battle for Darkshore Warfront has been added.
  • Paragon reputations and reputation commendations have been added.
  • Reindeer and sleigh high definition models have been added (implying this patch will likely intends to be live before Winter’s Veil).
  • Several bosses in Siege of Zuldazar have been added
  • Two bosses have been added for Crucible of Storms: The Restless Cabal and Uu’nat, Harbinger of the Void
  • Several new Incursion points have been added.
  • The scrapped 7.2 cooking scenario may be making a comeback (Cooking: Impossible)
