Windows 10 Lag Spikes Fix

One of the most obvious ways to stop lagging in Windows 10 is by working around the way updates are being downloaded and installed on your computer.

Unlike its predecessors, Windows 10 updates work over peer to peer networking which means that updates would be downloaded for other users or people who already have the update installed on their computer. Similarly, once your updates are done your computer will act as a host for someone else causing your computer to constantly send updates to others. You can disable the feature by doing the following;

  • Go to Settings
  • Go to Update and Security
  • Go to Windows Update and click ‘Advanced options’
  • Click on “Delivery Optimization”
  • Click on Choose how updates are delivered
  • Turn off ‘Updates from more than one place’
