TI8 Group Stage Day 2 Highlights: Its Time To Relive The Mayhem

Day 2 of The International 2018 Group Stage has come and gone, bringing to the world some of the best Dota 2 games we have ever seen. However, since a total of four games are being played simultaneously, it is near impossible for a Dota 2 player to watch each and every match of the tournament live.

More so, watching all of those matches in their entirety are going to be quite exhausting as the Day 3 matches are just around the corner. So, for all those who have missed out on the TI 8 Group Stage Day 2, we have got you covered.

We have for you the highlights of the entire day, detailing every single match which took place on August 16, 2018. But before we get on with the highlights, here is a recap of the matches which took place on the second day of The International 2018 Group Stage.

TI8 Group Stage Day 2 Highlights

The day kicked off with the first four matches to be played between Virtus.pro and Team Secret, Vici Gaming and Newbee, Optic Gaming and VGJ.Storm, and TnC Predator and Pain Gaming. From here on out, we witnessed some pretty incredible plays, some of which might even get included in our TI8 Best Play article which you can expect to get featured right after the end of The International 2018.

So, if you are one who wishes to relive the moment which took place on the second day of the group stages, here is your chance. Mentioned below are the highlights of the all the matches.

Virtus.pro vs. Team Secret

Team Liquid vs. Invictus Gaming

Evil Geniuses vs. OG

TnC Predator vs. Virtus.pro

TnC Predator vs. Pain Gaming

TnC Predator vs. OptiC Gaming 

Evil Geniuses vs. PSG.LGD

Some matches have yet to be posted in the list mentioned above. for those matches, stay tuned. We are going to be adding to the list very soon.

TI8 Group Stage Day 2 Standings

At the end of the Day 2, the two teams which were heading the group at the end of the Day 1 remain seated in at the top of their respective tables. However, almost all other teams have either been sent down or have moved up in the groups. This includes PSG.LGD and TnC Predator making their way into the top 4, while Mineski and Pain Gaming have moved into the 5th to 8th place bracket.

Furthermore, Team Serenity has replaced Vici Gaming and are now sitting as the last team in Group B. on the other side of the spectrum, Winstrike has also replaced VGJ.Thunder in the last team slot of group A. For more details on the complete standings, check out the image below:

TI8 Group Stage Day 3 Schedule

With Day 2 now over, it is time for us to get prepared for the next day of the TI8 Group Stage as Day is set to follow suit with what has been going down. Furthermore, if some teams play like they are, there is a chance we are going to some confirmations regarding the teams which are either going to make their way into the playoff or are going to be sent packing.
