NiP’s HeatoN Becomes First Esports Hall of Famer

Emil “HeatoN” Christensen, Team Manager of Ninjas in Pyjamas, is the first person to be officially inducted into the Esports Hall of Fame at the ESL One Cologne. The official announcement was made by the Esports Hall of Fame this Tuesday.

HeatoN is regarded as one of the most gifted gamers in Counter-Strike 1.6 and has gained widespread popularity mainly because of his time playing under SK Gaming and Ninjas in Pyjamas. He has also helped both teams win numerous tournaments.

At the pinnacle of his gaming career, HeatoN stopped playing CS 1.6 back in 2007 when he was virtually unstoppable. However, he returned back to Ninjas in Pyjamas in 2012, this time as Team Manager, after the organization switched to CS:GO.

HeatoN’s exploits in the world of gaming haven’t been without their fair share of controversies. Just last year, he was found guilty of negligence following a accounting fraud scandal within NiP. HeatoN was consequently ordered to pay a hefty fine. His sentence also included doing community service.

HeatoN’s will officially enter the Esports Hall of Fame on July 10 at ESL One Cologne. Christopher “GeT_RiGhT” Alesund, who is currently the captain of Ninjas in Pyjamas, will present him with the honor.
