Mousesports CS:GO squad brings in Ropz

An Estonian phenomenon is all set to make way towards the legendary esports organization Mousesports. The team recently announced the acquisition of Robin “ropz” Kool.

Robin “ropz” Kool although a relatively new name in the professional scene has gained his reputation in Faceit Pro League. Most notably, he was also picked up as a breakout player for 2017 by Nikola “NiKo” Kovač and Dennis “dennis” Edman.

Ropz, who is just 17-years-old has now got a chance of his life to move up the professional ladder. Sadly, he will be replacing former Timo “Spiidi” Richter. Spiidi recently was benched from the active roster. Performance issues were cited as the main reason and his recent ELEAGUE performance acting as a nail in the coffin.

The player, however, is still on the contract with Mousesports and will act as their stand-in. The team’s CEO was pretty sad for Spiidi’s move and made the following comment;

“Ropz is one of the biggest talents out there and we had great success nurturing upcoming young players in the past. I am confident that he will be a great addition to the team and develop into an important role for mousesports. On the other hand, I am really sad that Spiidi will move out of the lineup. Timo is a great person and player, unfortunately, he lost some of his motivation to play in the past months and decided to take a step back.”

Spiidi himself cited motivational concerns as the reason for his lackluster performance.

“After the ELEAGUE Major, I fell into a bit of a hole, motivation wise. I didn’t feel as comfortable in the team as before and decided I will take a step back and try to get into my old form again. I will keep streaming for all of you guys and will definitely not leave the competitive scene for good”

Ropz made the following statement for his move to mousesports;

“Today marks the day I start my pro career which I am extremely excited for. I’m really happy to start this journey with mousesports, one of the best international CS:GO teams out there currently. I am very motivated to work hard and prove myself to everyone out there. We as a team are determined to become a top contender and do our best. #vamouz.”

With his addition, Mousesports has already made a big below.The team has just defeated Team EnVyUS 2-0 in ESL Pro League with their next match scheduled against G2 Esports.
