That being said, if you are one of those fans, then you have come to the right place as we are going to be bringing you the highlights of all the matches which took place during day 6.
LoL Worlds 2018 Group Stage: Day 6 Highlights
So, without taking any more of your time, let us begin with the LoL Worlds 2018 Group Stage Day 6 highlights as we have many matches to cover.
Match 1 – Afreeca Freecs vs. Flash Wolves
The day kicked off with the very first game between Afreeca Freecs and Flash Wolves. The game lasted for approximately 31 minutes and was one of the most boring matches of the tournament due to the kill count being only at 6, with Afreeca having 5. It is because of this, we thought it would be better to post the entire match, then just the highlights as barely anything exciting went down during this game.
Match 2 – G2 Esports vs. Phong Vu Buffalo
The second match of the day, the one between G2 Esports and Phong Vu Buffalo was the complete opposite of what we saw earlier in the day. We say this because, in the 48-minute match, we saw a total of 31 kills. G2 Esports had 23 kills while Phong Vu Buffalo had 8. To check out the highlights of the match, check out the video down below.
Match 3 – Flash Wolves vs. G2 Esports
After witnessing the epic match-up in the second game of Day 6, it was now time for G2 Esports to face the losers of match 1, Flash Wolves. And well, it seemed as if the day was only getting better as this game was even more exciting then the last one as it featured a total of 46 kills. Flash Wolves won the game with 28 kills in hand while G2 Esports had 18. This is the one to watch.
Match 4 – Phong Vu Buffalo vs. Afreeca Freecs
With three games down, it was now time for the match-up between Phong Vu Buffalo and Afreeca Freecs, both of whom have been performing quite well in the tournament so far. That being said, from the very start it seemed Afreeca Freecs wanted it more and in the end, with 12 kills in hand, they won the game by taking out the enemy Nexus. Check out the highlights below to witness the annihilation.
Match 5 – Flash Wolves vs. Phong Vu Buffalo
After Flash Wolves’ game against G2 Esport where they took 28 kills in total, they were now set to face Phong Vu Buffalo. Because of their current performance, Flash Wolves were the favorites of the match-up and from what we saw during the last stages of the day, it seemed as if they would win but, after just a single bad move, they threw in the game in Phong’s favor which made the most of it and quickly took out the enemy Nexus. Check out this incredible comeback down below:
Match 6 – G2 Esports vs. Afreeca Freecs
With all fives games done and dusted, it was now time for the game between G2 Esports an Afreeca Freecs. This was set to be the final game of the day, however, if Afreeca Freecs won this match-up, G2 Esports will go on to play one more game, against Flash Wolves in a Tiebreaker as both teams would have a record of 3 wins and 3 loses. And will after a tough game, it was AF which won the game, resulting in G2 Esports to face Flash Wolves once more. Check out the highlights of G2 vs. AF down below:
The highlights video is yet to surface, till then check out the complete match down below:
Match 7 – Flash Wolves vs. G2 Esports (Tiebreaker)
With a tiebreaker scheduled between Flash Wolves and G2 Esports, it was a do or die situation for both teams as the team to lose this match-up would be sent home packing. While the team which would win the round would qualify for the tournament’s playoff which is set to kick off this coming weekend.
The game took off to a great start for both teams but with G2 Esports taking a few kills early on, the faith of Flash Wolves was already decided. Though they did try to make a comeback, it was not enough and in the end, it was G2 esports which won the game, qualifying themselves for the upcoming playoffs.
