LoL News: Faker Is Now A Free Agent
The star player and living legend of the game, Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok is now a free agent as per Riot’s contract database.
Faker rose to prominence from his time in SKT with whom the player has won three world championships and countless other events. It was with Faker that SKT became the undisputed team and that was mostly because of Faker’s ability to single-handedly dominate games.
With Faker becoming a free agent, teams and organizations are already on their toes to get hands on the player. Plus it’s more interesting to see what organization is strong enough to acquire Faker and offer him a package similar to that of SKT.
This would also be a difficult move for Faker himself who started his career in SKT and achieved all that he has today within the same organization. For him to move to a different organization would be equally a tough job as it would be for the organization that hires him.
But considering the skills and experience that Faker brings to the table, any team could easily be a top tier squad within a few months of practice.
