Fortnite Update: The Guided Missile Launcher Is Coming Back
A while back, Epic Games released a brand new weapon called the Guided Missile Launcher in Fortnite. It allowed players to manually control the missile according to their own wish. However, due to it being overpowered, the weapon was taken out of the game. Well, it seems the developers are finally bringing back the controversial missile launcher, but with some pretty major changes.
Guided Missile Launcher Overhaul
According to the Fortnite’s most recent Dev Update, Epic Games is going to be bringing back the Guided Missile Launcher in the game. However, since the initial release of the game was quite controversial, a number of changes are to be implemented.
This includes major nerfs include:
- Reduced movement speed
- Reduced turning radius
- Reduced damage
- Reduced damage radius
- Ammo cap of 12
The reason for such drastic changes is that the developers are looking to position the Guided Missile Launcher as a scouting weapon, more than a damage dealing one. Hopefully, these new changes will allow for the weapon to make its permanent place in the game.
Moreover, in the same Dev Update, Epic Games goes into detail regarding the game’s most recent SMG changes, along with an explanation on the Remote Explosive overhaul. To see what they have to say, check out the official video down below:
