Dota 2 Spin-off Confirms New Hero To Be The Fourth Elemental Spirit?

As we all already know, The International 2018 is just around the corner and with it comes not only the excitement of the greatest, most competitive esports tournament but also the anticipation of what’s to come in Dota 2. And like last year, at least one new Dota 2 hero is going to be making its debut by the end of the tournament and we think we know who it is.

During The International 2017, Valve came out with an announcement regarding the release of two all-new Dota 2 heroes, Dark Willow and Pangolier. And since then, a new precedent has been set as the community now expects a new hero to make its way into the game after the end of every The International tournament. Well, it seems the upcoming Dota 2 spinoff title, Artifact, might have already leaked details regarding the all-new hero and we believe it’s the fourth element spirit.

According to the recent finding as posted on Reddit, the upcoming Dota 2 hero is going to be the fourth elemental spirit, one which relies on the forces of the element, Wind/Air. Furthermore, the fourth spirit will go by the name of Mazzie which is a name that has popped up a couple of times in the Dota 2 community. And there is more, my friend as we have a possible image of the forthcoming hero.

Dota 2 Mazzie

From the image above, you can clearly see the resemblance “Mazzie” has with the rest of the elemental spirits. And if you have been following Dota 2 closely, you will remember the developers released a major update with the title Three Spirits. In the update, the three elemental spirits in the game received numerous changes and reworks, however, that is not why we have brought this update to light. The reason for this mention is that in the update’s official post, we saw a geometric shape for each of the three elemental spirits.

Dota 2 Three Spirits

A circle for Storm Spirit, A square for Earth Spirit and a teardrop shape for Ember Spirit. Thus leaving out one very important shape, triangle which if you can see if residing in the belt of Mazzie. Moreover, the person responsible for the designs of the Three Spirits Update, the elemental spirits design overhaul and the image above, is the same. Check out his website for more interesting finds.

Now we know this is a long shot, but you never know what the developers at Valve have planned for the Dota 2 community. So, while we wait for the official announcement, comment below and let us know you think of this recent find. Do you think Mazzie will be the Air/Wind elemental spirit?
