Dota 2 Frosthaven Ends; Mars/Ranked Season 3 Incoming

A few days back, we speculated that Valve is working on releasing it’s already announced Dota 2 hero, Mars, as soon as it is done with its on-going Frosthaven event. The same event which not only introduced the community to a new limited-time game mode but also the much-awaited Rubick Arcana. Well, today, Frosthaven has officially come to a close which means we can now expect the developers to finally release its new Dota 2 hero.

Dota 2 Hero “Mars” Expected This Week

As stated by the developers in its teaser trailer for Mars, the new Dota 2 hero is expected to make its way into the game sometime in the Winters. As since we are already half way through the season, the time has come for Valve to finally release the new hero. It was believed that Mars will be released as soon as the Frosthaven update ends which was said to be last week. However, with event being extended to January 7th, the timeline for the new hero update was pushed.

That being said, the update has finally come to a close. As a result, those of you who have been desperately waiting for the developers to release Mars, we have some good news for you. The time is nearly upon us. We believe since the developers have an act for releasing new updates just before the weekend, we estimate Mars, along with the third-ranked matchmaking season, to go live on this coming Friday i.e 11th January 2019.

And that is not all. We believe the developers are also going to introduce a new list of Dota 2 Plus cosmetic items as the list has not been updated since its initial release. As a result, players can not only expect a new hero to land in Dota 2 this week but also a new ranked season and a Dota 2 Plus update.

Comment below and let us know what you think of all this. Do you think Valve is going to follow suit with its timeline or is it going to continue on with more delays? Give us your say on the matter down below:
