CS:GO Update Brings Major Changes
A Major update has just hit CS:GO and that is going to bring substantial changes to the Meta and how the game is approached.
Among these changes, the biggest one is the loss bonus. A new system is being implemented which will provide a different aspect to loss bonuses. Now each round loss while increase your loss bonus but, winning a round won’t completely reset it. Instead, as it increases each round, winning would decrease the counter by one.
The approach has been taken to allow teams to come back from losing streaks and be able to have a chance of redemption without a hard reset. So now each time you win a round after a losing streak, your loss bonus will get a slight adjustment in case you lose a run just after winning one.
Here is a better explanation to this.
— With 0 Losses: $1400
— With 1 Loss: $1900
— With 2 Losses: $2400
— With 3 Losses: $2900
— With 4+ Losses: $3400
– Previously, a win would reset the round loss bonus. Now, a win reduces the loss counter by one.
– Teams still begin the half with a loss count of 1.
Another big adjustment to the game is the price adjustment to AUG which is brought back to the original $3300 price. And to make things more interesting, the forgotten M4A1-S now has a 25 bullet magazine instead of 20.
There have been price changes to a few Shotguns and one other major addition to the game is the flashbang assist which now shows in the death notice.
