5 Reasons Why PUBG Is Better Than Fortnite

I will start this blog with a question. Which is the best Battle Royale Game of the year 2018, PUBG or Fortnite? Well, it seems that the ferocious battle between the two games continues. Both these games boast to have an active player base in millions. With exquisite gameplay mechanics, eye-catching settings, and deadly weapons, both these games are engaged in a never ceasing competition to become the most popular battle royale game in the world.

To answer this question, we previously wrote about the reasons why Fortnite has the edge over PUBG which was based over an argument between me and my fellow writer Dani. He made his points on why Fortnite might be the better over its counterpart. And today, I will have a take on the opposite and will give you five factors that make PUBG better than Fortnite and the ultimate Battle Royale game.

1. Realistic Graphics

When it comes to graphics, PUBG really takes the lead. In PUBG, you get a more militaristic feel, something that you experience in the likes of Call of Duty, Battlefield, and Counter-Strike. Playing PUBG, you have a more serious approach towards the game. PUBG developers knew what they had in mind and developed the game according to the plan.

While in Fortnite, the graphics are a lot cartoonish and seems a lot like an adaptation of Blizzard’s Overwatch. Everything is a lot colorful, and for a genre like Battle Royale, the seriousness just isn’t there.

2. Competitive FPS Gameplay

Both being Battle Royale games, there isn’t much difference of gameplay between Fortnite and PUBG. However, the two games have still tried to bring their own elements and give more uniqueness to their respective titles.

There is a difference when it comes to the form of items and weapons, and the choices you have when you play the game. Although you drop off the same way, glide the same way and fight to survive; there are still a lot of things that PUBG offers better in all the aspects.

You just have a lot to do in PUBG as compared to Fortnite and those coming from the hardcore first-person shooter games; you will find a lot of things to love about PUBG.

The biggest advantage that PUBG has over Fortnite is the selection between FPP and TPP. For the more serious and aim-based gamers, the FPP gives you the same feel as you are playing the AAA FPS titles with the Battle Royale aspect.

3. HUGE Map Difference

There is no comparison of both games when it comes to the maps and how much they offer to play. Being substantially big, PUBG covers it with the inclusion of vehicles. You can travel all around the map and cover huge distances with the vehicles and rundown anyone else who doesn’t have the privilege of driving.

And unlike Fortnite, PUBG isn’t limited to a single map as the game currently offers the choice between Erangle and Miramar. Although the selection between the two is random, it’s still a good thing to have a mix and change of location.

Two smaller maps are expected to hit the game this year so the element of surprise and versatility will always be there. On the other hand, Fortnite doesn’t have vehicles, and they don’t even make sense as the entire map is a lot smaller in area size, as compared to PUBG. There are a lot of fights going on around the map and players don’t get enough time actually to gear up for the best.

This is something that many players have complained about because, after all – its Battle Royale and you have to be equipped with the best weapons and items in order to survive until the end.

4. More Weapons Mean More Fun

Weapons are the key factor in determining which game is better than the other. And while many prefer the easy access of Fortnite, a lot, however, consider PUBG as the clear winner.

PUBG is known for its variety of weapons and how much you can do with them. It’s a lot complex when compared to Fornite, but once you get hold of it in a few games, PUBG becomes a lot more fun.

Then there are the loot crates that offer the best guns in the game. But likewise, they are also pretty hard to get as you won’t be the only one approaching a gun.

And then there are factors like the bullet velocity, fire range, and gravity coming into play so it’s not like you can shoot someone a mile away with a shotgun.

5.Incomparable Intensity and Adrenaline Rush

Lastly, comes the point that sets PUBG apart from any of its competitors. The intensity and seriousness that PUBG brings to the table are just unmatched. The amount of tension that you feel when playing PUBG is almost the same as if it were a live-or-die situation in real life.

PUBG is as military as it can be while Fortnite is just too cartoonish. While the building mechanism has its plus point in Fortnite, it’s not something close to reality. PUBG covers it up by providing gamers with realistic gameplay that is closer to how survival works.
If you have watched Hunger Games, then you know what we are talking about here. No one was jumping around creating towers, and everyone knew there was just one survivor who would make it alive.

Compare the situation in both PUBG and Fortnite, and you will notice that PUBG is a lot closer to reality. And that’s just one thing. Like any other shooter game, it also comes down to who has better skills and aim. And Fortnite is nowhere near PUBG when it comes to aiming.

Having the skills to make a really good aim is what makes you win the Chicken Dinner for yourself. And even if you don’t win, you will still be considered a very good player if you find yourself among the top five.

All in all, the emotions and the will to win that you have while playing PUBG is simply incomparable with Fortnite. The environment in PUBG seems to be a lot more serious and complex just how they have meant to be in FPS games.

With this article, I have given you five reasons why PUBG is a better choice over Fortnite. However, the choice is yours to make. It all comes down to your preference and how you want to play a Battle Royale game. Both games have their characteristics, strengths, and weaknesses.

Tell us what you think about our comparison of both Battle Royale games. But still, there is a lot of more improvements to make for both games with the constant threat of even more Battle Royale games coming in future. But as of now, the decision of the better Battle Royale game lies in your hands so do make it count. Do give this article a full read while also taking a look of the points mentioned by Dani in his article of why Fortnite has the edge over PUBG.

The reason why there are no comments yet is because the comments need to be approved first. Since no comment is approved yet, obviously all of the comments posted are all hate comments.

And PUBG’s graphics excel over Fortnite? I call BS. Fortnite’s graphics are way better. Just because PUBG has more realistic textures doesn’t mean its graphics are better. PUBG still has a long way to go to catch up with Fortnite there.

The reason why Fortnite doesn’t include first-person is because it would be tough to build with that. PUBG obviously doesn’t have the building feature, so meh.

I noticed that the picture of Fortnite’s map is outdated. There are WAY more buildings than that. This article was posted on 26 March 2018. Fortnite’s map definitely wasn’t like that on 26 March 2018.

Fortnite keeps adding new weapons with each update. And getting weapons in Fortnite is way easier than getting weapons on PUBG. In PUBG, weapons are rare. Sometimes you won’t even get a decent gun. In Fortnite, chances are rare that you’ll go running through the map weapon-less. Also, do NOT say that PUBG is a much more hardcore experience than Fortnite because of the rare weapons. More players with less weapons is harder than every player on the map trying to kill you (with guns)? BS.

And stop with the adrenaline rush. I’ve played PUBG too. The intensity is the same in both games.

Once again, if you’re not approving this comment, that means that you’ve accepted defeat :)
